Program Overview: Summer Striding is a series of group runs designed to keep high school runners engaged, motivated, and moving throughout the off-season. Hosted by West Stride, this summer initiative helps student-athletes stay on track with their required summer miles while adding some fun to the routine as they prepare for the upcoming cross country season.
Why We Do It: West Stride created Summer Striding to support high school runners as they train through the summer months. The goal is to make those conditioning miles feel a little more enjoyable by offering a laid-back, low-pressure environment where athletes can stay consistent, explore new trails, and have fun along the way.
What to Expect: Participants can expect a mix of relaxed group runs, post-run snacks, and opportunities to connect with other runners in the area. It’s a chance to make training feel a bit more social and a lot more fun.
Who It Is For: Summer Striding is open to all high school runners. Come for the miles, stay for the good vibes.
Run Dates & Location: All runs start at 8:30 AM at the Powers Island Lot.
